Welcome to Steadfast Baptist Church, a community of believers dedicated to spreading the love of Christ and serving the Detroit area. Our journey began long before the official founding of the church, when Rev. Maurice Jackson felt a stirring in his heart to start holding weekly Bible studies in his home. Under the name "Steadfast Ministries" these gatherings marked the humble beginnings of a movement that would soon become a beacon of hope in the community.

In 2011, Pastor Maurice S. Jackson answered the call to take the next step, and Steadfast Baptist Church was officially founded on the solid rock of God's Word, with 1 Corinthians 15:58 as our guiding scripture: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

In the early days, we gathered at Northwest Activity Center, where morning services were filled with passion, hope, and a hunger for the Word. As our family grew, we were blessed to move into our own church building at 20499 Ohio St., Detroit, Michigan, where we continue to worship and serve the community.

At Steadfast, we pride ourselves on our infectious display of love for all of God's children. We believe that every person is precious and deserving of love, respect, and compassion, regardless of background or circumstance. Our mission is to be a place of not only worship but also a beacon in the community, shining the light of Christ and demonstrating His love through action.

We strive to be a representation of Christ's kingdom, where people can come to know Him, grow in their faith, and serve others. Our vision is to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel, and to be a catalyst for positive change in our city.
