G.L.O.W. (God Loves Our Women) — A Call to Sisterhood, Service, and Strength

G.L.O.W. at Steadfast Baptist Church is more than a ministry — it is a movement. Rooted in scripture and fired by faith, G.L.O.W. exists to gather every woman of SBC into a bold sisterhood where God’s love transforms our lives, our families, and our community. This is a space where women of all ages, backgrounds, and seasons come together to worship, learn, serve, and rise as the vessels God created us to be.

Who we are and what we do

• We are women committed to spiritual growth, mutual encouragement, and practical empowerment. We meet to pray, to study God’s Word, and to spur one another on toward holiness and purpose.

• We are intentional about unity. Differences of race, age, marital status, socioeconomic standing, and life experience are not barriers — they are strengths that enrich our shared testimony.

• We are hands and feet. Our faith is active: we serve Steadfast, our city, and one another with compassion, generosity, and excellence.

Gatherings and events G.L.O.W. hosts a full calendar designed to nurture spiritual depth, build authentic relationships, and celebrate the gifts God has placed in our midst:

• Monthly prayer and fellowship meetings — focused times of corporate intercession, Scripture meditation, and devotional teaching followed by refreshments and relational connecting.

• Quarterly discipleship nights — topical Bible studies and workshops that address spiritual formation, marriage and family, emotional health, leadership, and practical discipleship.

• Annual brunch — a celebratory morning of worship, testimony, prophetic encouragement, and a keynote message that fuels our faith for the year ahead.

• Annual dinner — an elegant evening of thanksgiving, recognition of servant-leaders, and community celebration; often featuring guest speakers and creative worship.

• Sisterhood outings — retreats, service projects, community outreach days, and seasonal picnics that build bonds outside the church building and cultivate deeper friendship.

• Creative and vocational showcases — events where women can present businesses, artistic projects, or ministries, receive feedback, and find collaborators and customers within the sisterhood.

A ministry of stewardship: giving with purpose Every dollar we raise through events, fundraisers, and offerings is stewarded with one clear priority: investing in the futures of SBC’s young people. G.L.O.W. is adamant that all proceeds from our activities go directly to the Steadfast College Fund, which supports students pursuing college or trade school. This is how our sisterhood becomes legacy — empowering students from our congregation to pursue education and vocational training without bearing the full weight of cost alone.

Why community and prayer matter The world will press hard. Trials come — grief, disappointment, financial stress, relational strain, vocational setbacks. We refuse to face those things in isolation. G.L.O.W. exists so women of God stand together:

• Corporate prayer sharpens our spiritual resolve and brings supernatural help in times of need.

• Consistent community creates safe places to confess, heal, and be held accountable.

• Shared wisdom and experience equip each woman to make godly decisions and continue walking in strength.

• Attend a monthly meeting or one of our signature events (brunch, dinner, or outing).

• Partner with us financially or through in-kind donations, knowing your contributions directly support our college fund for students.
